Tree Roots Cut Out of a Blocked Drain on Constable Avenue, Burnley
Waste water had spilled from the gully at the front of a property on Constable Avenue. Our engineer put the CCTV camera down to find the point of blockage, and it came to a dead stop at 5.5 metres.
After jetting downstream to clear the initial blockage, the camera went back in and found four separate points of tree root infiltration along the line.
Using a root cutting nozzle and the camera together, each root mass was worked on individually until the pipe was free and flowing, then the affected area was washed down. All caught on camera, so the customer could see exactly what was done.
