Five Metres of Abandoned Drain Rods Pulled Out on Clock House Avenue, Burnley
A surcharged manhole on Clock House Avenue with no visible outlet is a messy starting point. Our engineer used suction to draw the system down so he could actually see what he was working with.
With the level down, the blockage was cleared, and out came the surprise: five metres of drain rods that someone had lost down there on a previous DIY attempt.
The area was washed down and the customer was very happy. If your own rodding attempt ever goes wrong, don't worry, you won't be the first, and we'll get them back.
